Panama City is popularly known as the Miami of the South. Although it has comparatively less number of beaches than Miami, it has the most beautiful beaches. It offers a skyline of beautiful standing tall in a tropical surrounding.
We stayed at Oleander Cottage. This rental has just street across the beach access 83. The first day we have booked Cruise – Sea Dragon Pirate. Activities in this cruise are an exploration of St. Andrew Bay which lasted for around two hours, a treasure hunt with a map to find a botty, swashbuckling etc. Kids enjoyed at sword fight. After that, we took a shell boat for a tour boat to Hell Island.
Next day, we went to Coconut Creek Family Fun Park. It has a lot than an average park. It has a giant labyrinth named Gran Maze, which is first of its kind. It is the size of a football field. There is another amusement park, Cobra Adventure Park with kids on a roller coaster rides. If you love splish-splash, Shipwreck Island Waterpark, apart from slides, fumes etc; they have a tadpole hole which has numerous mini pools.
If you love wild animals, Seacrest World Preserve gives you a chance to interact with wolves. Don’t miss on delicious oysters at Capt. Anderson’s Resturant. We had an elaborate breakfast at Andy Flour Powder. On Thursday we went for dinner at the Saltwater Grill. They have live bands on Thursdays and Fridays.
We visited the Beach Winery and Nivol Brewery. If you are a beer lover, you should definitely go to Brass Tap. Our kids loved the dolphin show at Gulf World Marine Park. They also have a stingray tank. It is must visit for marine biologists.
For shopping, Pier Park is your point, especially for beach related products. It is unjustified to call it just a mall indeed. Decor by the shore is another option.
