UPDATED AUGUST 21ST, 2010
Before applying for a cat, please note our location, which is South Lincolnshire, approx. 25 miles north of Peterborough. This will avoid unnecessary phone calls and wasted time. Thank you.
Adults to be rehomed
We make a modest charge for these cats to cover the cost of neutering, injections, microchipping (where applicable) and also because we feel that people should appreciate what they get. Otherwise it could be regarded as 'easy come, easy go'.
We welcome genuine enquiries from indoor homes with not too many other pets and with experience of the Persian breed, without small children and who are prepared to provide a litter tray for the cat on a permanent basis. These cats are used to be indoors and would be unsuitable for an outdoor life.
This does not mean that they cannot be let out into a safe and secure garden, but only under supervision.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AN ADOPTION TO ANYONE, AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY OR NO REASON WHATSOEVER.
During this year a few of my girls/boys will be retired from breeding aged between 2-5 years. Some have done their bit and are ready to enjoy a long and happy retirement in loving indoor pet homes, others because they have decided that motherhood is not for them or in the case of boys, there is not enough work for them.
We have a few young and/or middle aged cats looking for loving indoor retirement homes.
PLEASE E-MAIL ME INITIALLY AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF STATING LOCATION AND LEAVING LANDLINE PHONE NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN BE CONTACTED. NO MOBILE NUMBERS PLEASE.

Monty has been returned to me in February 2010 as he repeatedly refused to use his litter tray. During the various conversations with his Owners, it became obvious that he was unhappy in his environment (for reasons only known to him) so I collected him. I also realized that he wanted to be an only pet - he is craving for attention all the time and is not prepared to share his Owners with other cats and/or dogs. So I placed him in a single outside unit in my cattery with 2 litter trays containing clumping cat litter. He has access to the run (and fresh air) so he can see the other cats but has his own territory where he is kingpin. He was very nervous to begin with so I put Rescue Remedy in his drinking water and placed a FELIWAY Diffuser in his unit. Within a few days he calmed down and allowed me to fuss him. It has been a long road since February but now he is using his litter trays, provided they are kept constantly clean. Once he has been in a tray and the soiled bits are not removed, he will not go in there again.
So here is the dilemma - we have to find him a home where he is the only pet with a resident slave who is prepared and able to attend to his litter tray(s) soon after use. I am confident that there is a kind person out there somewhere who fits the bill. Ideally you would be a youngish retired person with time on your hands, perhaps a lady on her own nutty about cats also experienced with Persians as they need a lot of looking after. He has a massive coat and needs regular grooming.
Monty is an affectionate boy and deserves a home of his own - could you be that person ? He is now resigned to living in a unit on his own which is no life for a young neutered boy.
